The 'Five Sisters' or 'Beinn Mhor', in Gaelic meaning big mountain are a great challenge to Mountaineers and Hillwalkers. They can be a technical challenge second to none, and in Winter offer one of the best challenges in Scotland if not the whole of Great Britain.

Glen Shiel has some of the most rugged mountain scenery in the Scottish Highlands and there are over 20 Munros within easy reach of Kintail Lodge.

The National Trust for Scotland also has walks suitable for all the family on their estate at Balmacara.

Eilean Donan Castle is one of the most photogenic castles in Scotland. Not only do we have the Castle nearby but some of the best preserved Pictish Brochs in the country dating back to the Iron Age.

There are also more recent hostorical sites such as General Wades Barracks at Glenelg.
